Back to Reality

Whew! Busy day today. Lots of doctor appointments. Kristen had two. One with the surgeon and the other with her oncologist. Both went well. She's recovering as well as expected. Pray that she gets her energy back before school starts for her. Steven had his pre-op. I was starting to get overwhelmed when they went over everything. He will be eating soft foods for the next six weeks! He was so calm about it all that I quit worrying. He will miss the first week back to school. He's a bright kid so I think he will be able to catch up without a problem.

I have no idea what has gotten into the cats but they are running wild. As we tried to go to sleep last night they were chasing each other around the upstairs. It felt like we had Thing One and Thing Two from the Cat in the Hat in the house. They continued on this morning. Lulu leapt off of the ottoman and Claire flew straight up in the air about a foot. Game on! How can two little things be so loud? They sound like a herd of buffaloes trampling through the house. That Claire is a talker. She is very loud when she wants something. I thought something was wrong yesterday she was crying so loud. Even Lulu was fooled. She just wanted out in the garage with Devin and Steven. I was sure she was stuck someplace by the way she was crying. Well I guess she was, she was stuck inside!

Speaking of Devin and Steven they are busy putting the amp and speakers into Steven's car. I think it ended up being a bigger job than they first expected. Great father son project though.

Another short work week. I'm looking forward to 2010. It's time to put 2009 to bed. I'm looking forward to a year with a little less medical drama. I thank God every day that this was only a year out of Kristen's life. So many people walk a longer road with their battles. When you are in the midst of everything you feel like an island. Now that we are out I am more aware of others struggles.

Now back to the laundry!
