Merry Christmas! We woke up to a white Christmas morning! Beautiful! Kristen said it was for her. I told her that yes God tossed his confetti since this is such a special Christmas. We all got more than we deserved. I'm typing this on my new notebook. Yeah! It's tiny but I love it.
We had our annual trip to Shogun's for our Chinese food. Tradition started several years ago to honor the movie A Christmas Story. You know the part where the dogs eat the turkey and they have to go to the Chinese restaurant since it is the only place open. Oh, and once again it was a funny trip to the Christmas Eve service. Last year I was in a bad mood fighting with Steven. Then when we had communion I managed to "anoint" myself with the blood of Christ. (Grape juice) This year I was confused about the time of the service. I thought it started at 3:30 and it started at 3:00. We walk in to a service in process and had to sit in folding chairs out in the foyer! What a hoot! It reminded me of years ago when Audrey, Gary, Devin and I set off for Christmas Eve service in Peabody. We were walking up to the doors and Audrey could hear the singing and she said that's the final song! They had moved the time up an hour and we didn't know! We couldn't go home. We told the kids they had to be asleep before we got back. We grabbed a six pack from the convenience store and drove around looking at Christmas lights for an hour. Some of the funniest memories come from mistakes.
