Happy New Year!

Man was I out of it yesterday. I posted Steven post surgery on the Kristen Transplant site. You know, you think you've got it together... I blame lack of sleep.

Steven is still doing well. Swelling is not pretty today. He is still a trooper. I think we only got up 5 times last night. I was most excited to get 3 hours sleep straight. I'm having deja vu of when he was a baby. His teeth look awesome though. They are so much better. His bite looks amazing. I can't tell you how many times the oral surgeon mentioned what a great job the orthodontist had done. Thank you God for bringing us to the right professionals!

Did you make any New Year's Resolutions? I didn't. But Devin and I are going to work on taking off a few pounds and getting back into better shape. We are going to work together on the same type of diet. It will help so much that Steven has to have a modified diet. Soft foods. That means I can throw out the cookies and chips! Woo hoo! Also I can finally wean him off the soda dependency.

Devin and I are finally getting old. I was in bed by 9:30 and Devin wasn't far behind. I woke up to fireworks about 1 a.m. At first I couldn't figure out what was going on. Pitiful?

So I'm going to end with a short account of New Year's Eve past. If only to amuse our partners in crime. Miss you all! Love you all! Hope the New Year brings more time to spend together!
- circa 1988: Out the back door and in the front. Always challenging when you live in a second floor apartment. Pre-child days.
- circa 1992: You've got a hole in your sock. Champagne stains on the new carpet. No babies in '93. (Oops! Already had one on the way!)
- circa 2003?: It's the Bird Man of Alcatraz returned. No just too much homemade vodka. (That was New Years wasn't it?)
- circa 2006?: Quiet party. Buddies are sick. Missing the life of the party! You know who you are. (KRTJR)
- circa 2008?: Margarita machines! Icing down the champagne outside. Brrr! Wii bowling.

Blessings to you in the New Year! May you enjoy, health and happiness. And may you choose joy in all things! God Bless!
