So I will be moving the recipes to a once a week thing. Kristen informs me that she's not into those healthy recipes. Oh, to be young again and not care or worry about what you eat. I'm confident that one day she will come back to me begging for my knowledge.
It is still beautiful outside. The frost this morning froze on the tree branches and added some bling. I have to be snowed in for a long time before I get cabin fever. As long as I have electricity, I can find something to do. Read, watch a movie, surf the web, etc. Both cats have explored the snow. Okay maybe with a little nudge outside. We just wanted to see if they liked it. Verdict. Claire likes it and Lulu is ambivalent.
Did you catch the KU v. KSU game? Good game. The only thing that would've made it better is if the Cats would have won. Well, that's my opinion. Kristen thinks that all turned out as it should be. I will be honest I'm not a big basketball fan. I will be in mourning until football starts again next fall. I can't wait until the Winter Olympics and I actually kind of found myself getting into the Henin v. S. Williams match at the Australian Open.
Yesterday as I was watching the kids in the neighborhood ride sleds behind 4 wheelers, I was transported back several decades. We had an old truck hood that we would ride around on in the snow. I must have been 8 or 9. Dad would hook the hood behind one of the tractors and pull us around in the snowy field. Butch was usually the first to fall off. We'd all start yelling for Dad to stop and the dog would come running and jump back on with us. It was blast. I think there is a picture of Lori, Wade, Butch (the dog), and me. If dad couldn't pull us around Gpa Lackey would attach the hood behind his car and pull us down the snowy country road. Now if my kids asked to ride a sled behind an automobile I would say NO WAY! Are we more safety conscience now or have we become over protective?
