Are Your Shoes on the Right Feet?

I forgot to tell you about a funny! Kristen and I were sitting in the Ash Wednesday service. We were next to my friend Paula and in the CUMC sanctuary. We were in the middle of the Bible reading and Kristen bumps my arm and tells me to look at her feet. Now she is dressed adorably, as usual, with her Mia Farrow short reddish hair. She's got a black drapey top, slim jeans, and knee high black suede boots. I look down to her feet and ... She has her boots on the wrong feet! We both started giggling silently. I couldn't look at her. I was fighting to keep it together. I know we were shaking the pew with our mirth. I finally nudged her back and motioned for her to fix them. I could not have gone through the entire service knowing that her boots were on the wrong feet.

This is just another example of how you may think you are 'fine' when waiting on uncertain news. But there is always some tell tale sign that all is not as it seems. But isn't our sense of humor a wonderful gift? I love the gift of laughter. Give thanks for your sense of humor today. Think about how many times it helped you get through a tough situation. Live, Love, Laugh!
