I'm one of those. A room changer. I can't stand for the furniture to be in any one place for long. It drives me nuts that we have some rooms that I will never be able to move around. I also tend to change the most stuff when Devin is gone. He's off playing this weekend and I started in on the dining room. Crazy right? I just intended to clean it and before I knew what I was doing I was moving a few things around. I'll have to leave it this way for a few days to see if I like it. I've been known to change the living room around only to change it right back the next day.
The biggest change I ever made to a room was when we lived in Bartlesville. I did not like where Devin had set up the water bed. He didn't want to be put out of his bed for a day or two so he wasn't willing to move it. It was a BIG pain. The minute he left for his trip I started draining that bed. Now moving a water bed is a major undertaking. I could scoot the outer frame but the base had to be moved in pieces. We are talking boards and plywood here. Thank God for electric screw drivers. Now draining and removing the bladder wasn't the easiest thing but trying to get it back in was the worst. The bladder of a water bed can be extremely heavy, especially on a king sized bed. To give you an idea, when we moved to Belgium, it took more than one man to lift the small box the bladder had been stuffed inside. They were so intrigued by what was in the box, and the fact that we kept telling them to take plywood to the master bedroom, that they wanted to see us set it up. Now when I tried to pull the bladder back into the bed it didn't go so well. I tugged and pulled and pushed and basically got no where. Finally when 8 or 9 year old Kristen got home I had her help me. She tugged while I pushed with my legs. Finally success! By the time Devin got back home from the trip the bed was filled and heated back up.
So you never know when I'm going to get bit by the change bug.
