Got it From My Momma

As I was talking to my cousin I got to thinking about the tendencies that run in our family line. I think it is interesting to consider how many people of faith come from this particular family lineage. My Great-Great Grandfather on that side was the first Presbyterian minister in my hometown. Did a tradition of faith go back even further? It also is a common family trait for the women on that side of the family to be cat-lovers. We have a precious picture of my grandmother as a child posing with her cat. I know I couldn't live without my two kitties. We also tend to have a stubborn streak. Now no one will actually claim that one but we all have seen it. Visiting like that makes me curious about what other stories are out there. I watched Friday the show, "Who do you think you are?" as Emmitt Smith was tracing his lineage. It's important to know who you are. Be sure to share with your children the stories of your youth.
